IHELP Stands with Immigrants: A Letter to the IHELP Community
Dear IHELP Community,
In these challenging times, your dedication to supporting immigrants has been a beacon of hope for so many who are navigating the complexities of building a new life in an unfamiliar land. We reach out to you today with both concern for those we serve together through our work at IHELP and a deep sense of purpose as a community.
Our immigrant neighbors contribute immeasurably to the strength and vibrancy of our communities, bringing resilience, creativity, and an unwavering determination to succeed despite the significant challenges they often encounter. Today, many in our immigrant community are grappling with uncertainty about their future, heightened fear, and, in some cases, overt hostility.
In response to these pressing challenges, IHELP has joined a broad coalition of nonprofits, businesses, civic organizations, and faith leaders to deliver a unified message: We Stand with Immigrants.
Your support—whether through advocacy, volunteering, providing resources, or simply offering a warm welcome—makes an immeasurable difference. You remind our immigrant neighbors that they are not alone and that their dreams and contributions are valued. As supporters, it is our shared responsibility to not only provide comfort but also to advocate for policies and practices that promote equity, justice, and inclusion. At IHELP, we are working to provide resources and information.

In February, we have an opportunity to visit the capitol for a day of advocacy, along with the Missouri Immigration Policy Coalition and the Hispanic Leaders Group. On Tuesday, February 18th, join representatives from IHELP in Jefferson City to push back against anti-immigrant legislation and advocate for policies that will support immigrant communities.
There will be training sessions at the beginning of the day, and breakfast and lunch will be provided for all who register here. If you plan to attend as part of the IHELP community, please contact rpozzo@ihelpstl.org to let us know.
Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, and friends for your unwavering support and dedication. Your kindness and solidarity are changing lives and shaping a brighter future for us all.
With deep appreciation,
The IHELP Team
